Hello, and welcome to JEP! I create content for businesses and organizations that want to connect with their customers in ways that create value and build trust and credibility in their brand. By using smart content to address the needs of your audience, you can turn prospects into solid leads and those leads into customers who will one day become raving fans.
I founded JEP Marketing Communications in 2018 after having worked for several organizations that represented small business owners. I learned a lot from them about what a small business needs to grow and thrive in the marketplace when it comes to marketing and communications. I also got to share with them content, ideas and strategies to grow their business and connect with their customers when it comes to their websites, social media, public relations, and building and promoting their brand to stand out in a noisy world. I want to use that knowledge to help other small businesses and organizations like yours. Currently, I manage projects for the Automotive Service Association on a part-time basis.
Over the 20+ years in the marketing and communications fields, I’ve gained a unique perspective on how to help small businesses connect with their customers that builds their value and success. A couple of years ago, I got my inbound marketing certification from Hubspot Academy. I’m a proud alumnus of the University of Kansas and have degrees in journalism and political science. I am working my way through Marie Forleo’s online B-School (“B” is short for “Business”) program, which addresses all components of running a profitable and successful business.
When I am not behind my laptop creating content, I enjoy fixing yummy meals for my family, which includes my husband and three school-aged daughters. It was my daughters who inspired me to start JEP, and it’s why I named the company after them. JEP is the first initial from each of my daughters’ first names -- Jaia, Ellie and Priya. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hand lettering and participating in a virtual Bible Study Fellowship discussion group. I also love getting lost in the aisles of HomeGoods, Marshalls or a nearby antique mall to see what treasures I can find to create a meaningful home.
